Most years in the Yukon, productions can shoot on roadside snow from late October until mid-May. Using helicopters for short lifts, productions can shoot on snow year-round on one of the Yukon's many glaciers and alpine snowfields.
Small roadside lakes are usually frozen by mid-October. Ice rinks can be made anywhere once freezing temperatures arrive, some years as early as late September.
