Ice & Snow

Robert Toohey Locations has over 22 years of production history, working on shoots requiring ice and snow.

Rob Toohey has made skating surfaces on glaciers, rivers, lakes and fields. He brings in-depth experience and high safety standards to your snow and ice project. We get engineering approval for every "car on lake" location shoot.

Most years in Western North America, productions can shoot on roadside snow from mid-October until mid-May. Using helicopters for short lifts, productions can shoot on snow year-round on one of B.C., or Yukon/Alaska's many glaciers and alpine snowfields.

Small roadside lakes are usually frozen by mid-October. Ice rinks can be made anywhere once freezing temperatures arrive, some years as early as late September.
